On June 1st Seychelles reopened to tourists from 19 countries, with additional rounds of countries added since the original reopening. on March 4, 2021, they announced that on March 25, 2021 all countries would once again be allowed to visit the Seychelles, due in part to their extremely successful vaccination campaign.

Seychelles first closed March 14, 2020 and since the islands were quick to respond and contain, the nation has decided to reopen tourism in a staged process, starting June 2020.

When the nation first reopened in June 2020, only 19 countries were allowed into Seychelles for the purposes of tourism. As of March 25, 2021, all nations can visit.

On March 25, 2021, Seychelles will discontinue the above list and allow all nations to visit.

Are Flights Allowed Into Seychelles?
Yes, as of June 1, 2020, both private jets and commercial passenger flights are allowed to fly into Seychelles from the approved countries.
Tests, Restrictions and Rules for Entry into the Seychelles
ALL passengers must bring with them a negative PCR test.
A COVID-19 test must be performed no more than 72 hours before departure and you must be able to demonstrate a negative test result on entry.
Upon arriving in Seychelles, you must stay in a designated hotel/establishment and may not leave the premises for 5 days. Another COVID-19 test will be performed on the fifth day of your stay. Following a negative test result, visitors will be free to travel within Seychelles. After March 25, 2021, the quarantine will be discontinued.
Vaccination Exceptions: As of Feb 2021 passengers who are vaccinated do not have to comply with the current quarantine rules.

What’s Reopen in Seychelles
The Department of Health released a document on May 29th outlining what kinds of activities are reopening. They include:
- Cinemas
- Gyms and Fitness Centres
- Beaches (no beach parties)
- Marine leisure crafts
- Restaurants
- Casinos

For anyone wanting to take the budget up a notch, there are luxurious 5-star properties like the Hilton Resort starting around $400+ USD a night, or the Savoy starting around $350+ USD.
