The island was originally given a level 2 advisory ‘exercise increased caution’ on August 31st when the United States dropped its global level 4 blanket travel advisory.
At the time, Saint Lucia had only seen a few dozen cases of Covid-19.
Now, as a second wave of the pandemic has swept the globe, cases in Saint Lucia are also on the rise averaging 7-8 cases per day on the tiny island with a population of only 182,000.
