Regional Travel Advisory For Georgia
The U.S. government advises against all travel to the ‘Russian-occupied regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia due to risk of crime, civil unrest, and landmines.’
Travelers that enter the occupied regions could result in arrest, imprisonment and fines. Violent attacks and criminal incidents can happen in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
